Hyzon adds H2Revora revs up

Early-bird registrations are now open for TruckShowX, Australia’s first and largest event dedicated to low- and zero-emissions freight transport.

A spin-off of the hugely successful Brisbane Truck Show, the event will deliver expert advice and insights on the steps required to implement the eco-system necessary to support the move to decarbonise transport.

To be held at RACV’s Cape Schanck Resort on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula on May 13-14, 2024, the two-day event will feature keynote presentations from global leaders in low- and zero-emissions vehicle (LZEV) adoption, supported by practical case studies of local operators leading the decarbonisation effort.

Complementing this will be an expo showcasing the latest low- and zero-emissions vehicles and related technologies and, uniquely, a drive-day opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest LZEVs.

Over the two days attendees will hear exclusive insights from early adopters involved in real-world implementations of battery-electric, hydrogen and renewable diesel vehicles, including supporting infrastructure, training and skills, and service and maintenance requirements.

Hyzon adds H2

Hyzon Motors, for example, will present an insightful case study that explores the commercial deployment duty cycle of a hydrogen fuel cell waste compactor vehicle currently operating in Australia with Remondis Australia, one of the world’s largest recycling, service, and water companies.

Launched into service in late October, the waste collection truck is servicing the Wollongong and Shellharbour municipalities, operating from Remondis’s Wollongong facility in New South Wales.

Two months into the four-month trial, Hyzon’s fuel cell powered refuse truck is performing ahead of expectations, having lifted some 33,000 bins, collected 280 tonnes of waste, saved 4,200 litres of diesel and removed 11.3 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere.

What’s more, Hyzon will offer TruckShowX attendees the opportunity to drive one of its hydrogen fuel cell trucks.

The company, which established Australia’s first purpose-built assembly plant in Melbourne’s south-east in 2020, is a global developer of high-power fuel cell technology focused on integrating its solutions into zero-emissions heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV).

Hyzon’s proprietary fuel cell technology, in-house manufacturing, and asset-light business model set it apart, and positions the company to accelerate the energy transition and fleet decarbonisation.

Revora revs up

Refrigerated electric truck company Revora, meanwhile, will offer TruckShowX attendees the opportunity to drive its zero-emissions vehicles during the event.

The company, a spin-off of refrigerated transport specialist Eurocold, was launched earlier this year with a goal to guide the refrigerated transport industry to net zero emissions.

Australian technology and ingenuity are central to this mission, with several key components (chassis, fridge, body, chargers etc) sourced from best-of-breed operators in Australia and internationally.

The TruckShowX event team are still accepting expressions of interest to exhibit/present at the event, and invite interested parties to submit EOIs via the TruckShowX website.

And stay tuned to the website and socials for the latest news on confirmed speakers, case studies, expo and drive-day participants.
